Our Head Scientists

Tera Newman-Eerkes, Ph.D.

Dr. Eerkes is a research scientist who likes to crack hard problems. She helped pioneer the use of allele-specific oligo PCR for identifying and genotyping copy number variants in the human genome and has spent over 10 years pursuing various research projects at the University of Washington and the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center. Dr. Eerkes holds a computer engineering degree and a Ph.D. in molecular biotechnology, and uses those two perspectives to obtain creative solutions for genetic analyses.

Ms. Morrison is our clinical and research laboratory manager, and troubleshooter extraordinaire. She has over 15 years of technical experience in all things molecular biology at institutions like the University of Washington and the Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle.
